I have always wanted to know what a drawing and a line could be: how my depth together with the Midwest landscape can be visually shown.

I have experienced my life’s changing realities while living within the Midwest. Its daily landscape I see as my being a garden and a desert. Each work on paper has been a visual diary piece on paper. Sometimes I do thread pieces which connect me to the ancient art traditions usually done by women. Sometimes I work with newness. The collaborations with Jeff Bangert using computers, digital cameras and printers broaden my understanding of line structure and what lines can create
