Bill
Bowerman
I
have been an active artist since the early 1980's, working in a
variety of media, including drawing, ceramics and photography.
Since 2001, I have been exploring and developing
scanning photography, an exciting new direction in photography. In scanning
photography, or "scanography", the first step is to assemble
objects on a flatbed scanner and scan them to bring a digital image into
a computer. Next, the image is processed in the digital darkroom. Then
the image can be offered in various ways, including as limited edition
archival digital prints.
Scanography has opened many new artistic directions
for me. It is a fruitful arena for invention, for discovery, and for the
experience and sharing of enjoyment, wonder, surprise, curiosity and beauty.
I am the President of the Lawrence Photo Alliance
and a past President of the Lawrence Art Guild.
