Mark Mohr is a leading watercolor artist, winning
awards in juried exhibitions throughout the region. Drawing and painting
from his own experience, inspired by a challenge, and guided by gratitude
for his gift, his works dramatize distinctive color contrasts in a variety
of landscapes, portraits, and still lifes. His work also demonstrates
his enjoyment of people, nature, and animals.
Mark captured the Parent’s Choice
Award for his illustrations in The Storm by Marc Harshman. These same
works earned a place in the Smithsonian Magazine’s top 50 children’s
books in 1995.
Mark’s work whas been selected and
commisioned by Amoco, Lee Jeans, Sprint, Land-O-Lakes, and Aventis Pharmaceuticals.
Mark was educated at Wichita State University,
majoring in design. He lives in Kansas City working full time as an
artist.
