Contemporary
architecture and its architects have presented a world of direction for
my photography. Certain built environments have gained my attention and
the camera's viewfinder has directed me to areas of buildings that eventually
result in photographs.
I usually photograph structures which have simple linear and asymmetrical
design. The additional photographic attraction of these contemporary structures
have included: crisp (sometimes flowing) surfaces such as titanium, chrome,
steel and glass, as well as flowing (sometimes crisp) surfaces of concrete,
stucco, and marble; color which is sometimes bold and monochromatic. The
intimation of space is central to many photographs.
My
photographs offer the viewer a concentrated look at form with quiet function.
